About Mrs. Moynihan
Hello parents and students,
I'm Mrs. Moynihan, and I will be your 2nd Grade teacher this year. I recently moved to Pasadena last year to finally lay down roots with my husband, son, and Boston Terrier. We have been moving back and forth across the country for over a decade due to my husband's time in the Navy, as well as for our individual educational pursuits and career opportunities. We are excited to join the St. Elizabeth Parish and School Community.
Professionally, I earned my Bachelors in Diversified Liberal Arts with a History minor, as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at the University of San Diego in 2005. After a several years of teaching 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade full-time in California and Virginia, I went on to earn my Master's in Education at Santa Clara University in 2012, while also teaching part-time. Going back to school after entering the work force was an amazing educational experience for me, it deepened my understanding of how to connect theory of practice into the reality of a classroom. Teaching has always been one of my greatest passions and I am excited to come back to the profession after being a stay-at-home mom for the past few years.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy time with family, home projects as a first time homeowner, getting outdoors, and travel.
I would love to find out more about my students and their families, please introduce yourself in our Blog!
